Application Fee
This $100 fee is paid at the time the application is submitted to VSBM and is non-refundable.
texts and supplies
This $125 fee includes all course manuals and handouts, The Book of Shiatsu by Paul Lundberg, an organic cotton t-shirt, and a single shiatsu mat for home practice. Students are required to supply their own linens. All other supplies will be provided.
Student Record Archiving Fee
As of April 1, 2008 a new PCTIA bylaw requires that all career training student records are stored electronically off-site. Each student's enrolment contract, transcript, and diploma or certificate will be stored with Datawitness for a period of no less than 55 years, retrievable only by VSBM administrative staff.
PCTIA tuition completion fee
This fee covers the mandatory tuition insurance required by the PCTIA.
admissions requirements
- $100 application fee
- Minimum age of 18
- Completed application form and health evaluation form
- Fluency in English
- No disability or disease that could impede the learning process of the individual or jeopardize the health and safety of fellow students/clients
- Have received at least one professional Shiatsu treatment
VSBM Spa Therapy Program graduates are not required to take Shiatsu Level I (the first week) nor the Sciences. Any participant with the equivalent prior education may also be awarded credits and a discount on tuition. Call for more information.
admission procedures
Upon successful acceptance of your Vancouver School of Bodywork & Massage application for admission, you will be required to provide the following:
- Proof of age and identity (a photocopy of either your driver's license, passport, or other photo ID)
- A signed copy of the Student Enrolment Contract
- A $500 deposit
